Venza, the leading provider of data protection and regulatory compliance solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced its commitment to Data Privacy Week 2024 by registering as a Champion. As a Champion, Venza recognizes and supports the principle that all organizations share the responsibility of being conscientious stewards of personal information. This effort was a reiteration of Venza’s ongoing commitment to help organizations safeguard their systems and their guests’ data.
Data Privacy Week is an annual expanded effort from Data Privacy Day — taking place from 21 – 27 January 2024. The goal of Data Privacy Week is to spread awareness about online privacy among individuals and organizations. The goal is twofold: to help citizens understand that they have the power to manage their data and to help organizations understand why it is important that they respect their users’ data.
“Venza is proud to support events like Data Privacy Week that closely align with our company’s values,” said Barbara Espinosa, Director of Product Marketing at Venza. “As the leading provider of data protection and regulatory compliance tools for the hospitality industry, we were happy to contribute unique and engaging resources to amplify awareness around this important cause.”
Venza provides many products that are geared toward protecting data privacy in hospitality including Vendor Security Assessments, a Policy Templates Library, security awareness training in the Venza PEAK™ Learning Management System, and more.

About Data Privacy Week
Data Privacy Week began as Data Privacy Day in the United States and Canada in January 2008 as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe. Data Protection Day commemorates the Jan. 28, 1981, signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection. NCA, the nation’s leading nonprofit, public-private partnership promoting cybersecurity and privacy education and awareness, leads the effort in North America each year.
